Robin Barker - Founder and Master Hairstylist

    Within the beauty industry, Robin is recognized as the "Hairdresser's Hairdresser" and has been a major demonstrator and educator since the '70's.

    An industry leader not only as an artist, he has been President of the Guild of Hair Design, a member of Intercoiffure and Chairperson of the Provincial Government Advisory Committee.

    Robin has been hairstylist for many fashion designers including famed Hollywood legend, the late Edith Head and Pierre Cardin, as well as Canadian Designers Wayne Clark, Marilyn Brooks, Pat McDonagh, Ula Zukowska, Annie Thompson and many others, including the Fashion Designer's Association of Canada.

    His work has been published in many of the world's trade magazines as well as the likes of Vogue and most of the nation's fashion editorials. He has received many honours such as The Gus Caruso, a Contessa and an Imagine Award, as well as recognition for his charitable efforts.

    With over 30 years experience on television, he has earned the name the "King of Makeovers". Robin wrote a half season outline for City TV founder Moses Znaimer in 1971 which started the TV makeovers and fashion days in 1972. Either credit or blame Robin for all the makeover shows seen today. Robin has been the Official Hairdresser to both Miss Canada Pageant and Children's Telethon

    Robin's 40th Anniversary Show!

    After opening three successful franchises Robin is currently putting his efforts into his Yorkville salon and developing "associate" salons. He is also working with Hair-brain.com, the first haircutting educational source on the internet, plus producing a product line and more educational classes.
